Project Details | This was a redevelopment project; we were able to bring the old website made up of 60+ pages down to 11 pages. This required working closely with the owner to organize and develop the website content.

The graphics were created by Ryan Wainwright of Wainwright Design, a very talented graphic designer. He is working with US Captain's Training on re-branding their identity. Since he was working directly for the client his time spent on graphic design was not included in the project hours for North Country Web.

Project Goals |

Build a website that the owner could manage himself using Adobe Dreamweaver: The owner of US Captains Training owned and had prior knowledge of this software. Their course schedule changes regularly and they wanted to be able to update this content themselves.
Improve their online enrollment option: On their old website their students were able to put a deposit down on a course, US Captain’s Training wanted to develop a more robust enrollment form. We used Formstack to build an enrollment form with conditional logic ending in an online payment via PayPal.
Organize Resources: The website contains full body of resources offering pertinent information for students working towards a captain license. These resources are used by students, instructors and other industry professionals.

SEO: In developing the content of the website we took great care throughout the entire process to put thoughtful consideration into Search Engine Optimization. They are currently on page 1 for natural google results for key words ‘Captains License’.

End results is a fresh looking website reflecting their re-branding efforts, clean design with a straight forward navigation for website visitors and great placement on google.
