Project Details | This project was funded by a grant from Genuine Leelanau for the purpose of promoting Leelanau County women artists. The website consists of 21 pages, 17 of which are the individual artist pages. The biggest challenge in this project was collecting and organizing the images and biography content for all the artists. Each artist web page took approximately 1 hour to complete.

Project Goals |

Build a website that promotes Leelanau women artists, offering the website visitors a sample portfolio and contact information for each artist. This is a portal website concept; bringing viewers to this website and then directing them to the individual artists for more information.
Collecting and organizing the images and biography content for all the artists.
Create home and events pages that are designed to change on a regular basis. The home page features one of the Leelanau women artists each month. The events page is a listing of events and exhibitions that at least one of the LWA is participating in.

SEO: They are currently on page 1 of natural google results for key words ‘Leelanau Artists’.

End result is a clean, consistent looking website, which helps promote the artists to local and regional markets. Giving some artists first time web exposure and helping others promote their existing websites.
